A mysterious fleet of drones entered restricted airspace and swarmed a U.S. military base along the Virginia coast for 17 days late last year, stumping the Pentagon, according to a new report. 

For several nights last December, U.S. military personnel reported witnessing a fleet of unknown unmanned aircraft breach restricted airspace over a stretch of land at Langley Air Force Base along Virginia’s shore, the Wall Street Journal first reported. 

The drones would start to arrive about 45 minutes to an hour after sunset each night, one official reportedly told U.S. Air Force Gen. Mark Kelly, who joined several other officers responsible for the country’s most advanced jet fighters, including F-22 Raptors, on a squadron rooftop. 

Kelly described the first drone he saw as roughly 20 feet long and flying at more than 100 miles an hour, at an altitude of roughly 3,000 to 4,000 feet. As many as a dozen or more drones followed, flying across Chesapeake Bay, and then traveling toward Norfolk, Virginia, and through a space overlooking the base for the Navy’s SEAL Team Six and Naval Station Norfolk, the world’s largest naval port, according to the Journal.

The report said officials could not determine if hobbyists or adversaries – such as China or Russia – were responsible for the drone fleet. Reports of the matter reached President Biden and resulted in two weeks of meetings at the White House in December 2023, the Journal reported. Those meetings included the Defense Department, the FBI and the Pentagon’s UFO office, as well as outside experts.

Fox News Digital reached out to the White House and Department of Defense for comment. The DoD referred Fox News Digital to Langley Air Force Base for more information, but they did not immediately respond to an inquiry. Neither did the White House.

Two months before the drone fleet emerged in Virginia, five mysterious drones reportedly breached restricted airspace over a government nuclear weapons experiment site in Nevada. 

Four of the drones were detected by the Energy Department’s Nevada National Security Site outside Las Vegas, while the fifth was spotted by employees, according to the Journal. The facility has reportedly since upgraded its detection system, but officials have not determined who was behind the breach.

“It’s pathetic, it’s pathetic,” Trump responded.

“They’ve been at war for over a year. So he hasn’t spoken with him in seven weeks. When was the last time you’ve spoken with Netanyahu?” Bartrimo asked in a follow-up question.

Biden and Netanyahu held their first call in seven weeks on Wednesday, The Associated Press reported last week. Harris also joined the phone call. War has raged in Israel since Oct. 7, 2023, when Hamas launched attacks on the nation. 

“It was direct, it was productive,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said of the phone call, the AP reported.

Biden’s call with Netanyahu followed Iran launching ballistic missile attacks on Israel, escalating the war. Trump has called on Israel to “hit” Iran’s nuclear facilities to curb the attacks. 

Tensions between Biden and Netanyahu have apparently flared since the war broke out, which was detailed in journalist Bob Woordward’s upcoming book, “War.”

“That son of a b—-, Bibi Netanyahu, he’s a bad guy. He’s a bad f—ing guy!” Biden reportedly said in spring of this year of Netanyahu, according to the book. Reports also surfaced earlier this year that Biden had privately called Netanyahu an “a–hole” while continuing to pledge support to the nation.

Trump has repeatedly said while on the campaign trail that wars in both the Middle East and Ukraine would not have unfolded if he were in office, vowing to end the wars if re-elected. 

President Biden’s administration will soon deploy an advanced missile defense battery to Israel along with roughly 100 U.S. troops to operate it, the Pentagon announced Sunday.

The move comes after Iran and its proxy terrorist groups launched massive waves of missiles against Israel earlier this year in April and again on Oct. 1. Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) has previously been deployed to Israel in 2019, but only for an exercise, Pentagon officials say.

“The THAAD Battery will augment Israel’s integrated air defense system. This action underscores the United States’ ironclad commitment to the defense of Israel, and to defend Americans in Israel, from any further ballistic missile attacks by Iran. It is part of the broader adjustments the U.S. military has made in recent months, to support the defense of Israel and protect Americans from attacks by Iran and Iranian-aligned militias,” the Pentagon said in a statement.

Defense Department spokesman Maj. Gen. Patrick Ryder announced the move to media on Sunday. It comes as the Biden’s administration has been wary of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s handling of the conflict, both in Gaza and with the growing tensions in Lebanon.

Biden was asked why he approved the deployment on Sunday, and he replied with a brusque “To defend Israel.”

White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan reportedly told Israeli officials earlier this month that the U.S. expects “clarity and transparency” about Israel’s plans for future strikes, specifically regarding any retaliation against Iran.

“Our trust of the Israelis is very low right now and for a good reason,” one U.S. official told Axios on Oct. 8.

The report comes after weeks of the Biden-Harris administration growing more and more willing to criticize Netanyahu’s regime. They have repeatedly stated that they support Israel’s right to defend itself, however.

Iran’s massive Oct. 1 missile barrage displayed the threat Iran poses to Israel as a regional power. While debris from hundreds of rockets and missiles rained down on Israeli territory, there were no Israeli fatalities reported.

Former President Trump said the immigration crisis at the southern border is likely a “bigger deal” this election cycle than inflation and economic woes that have rocked voters in recent years, according to his exclusive interview with Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”

“We have tremendous support. They’re so tired of seeing what’s happened to this country. They’re so tired of seeing the incompetence, seeing the border. And I think the border is maybe a bigger deal than even inflation,” Trump said during his interview with Fox News Business anchor Maria Bartiromo when asked about his message to undecided voters. 

Trump joined Bartiromo in an interview that aired Sunday, just 22 days ahead of Election Day. Trump’s interview was expansive, touching on topics such as taxes, tariffs he would level on foreign nations, his abortion stance, and foreign affairs, such as the ongoing war in Israel.

When they see that, I actually think that that’s, I think the border is a bigger issue than even the economy. Those are the two big issues,” Trump continued in his interview.  

Trump said that in addition to the border and inflation, the hurricanes that have devastated states such as North Carolina, Georgia and Florida – and the White House’s response – will speak volumes to voters.

“The other issue that’s really big, I think, is how badly they’ve done with North Carolina, parts of Georgia. When you look at what’s happened, and Florida… You see what’s happening there. “The response from the White House has been absolutely terrible. Her response has been terrible, so bad that they didn’t even want, I see [Gov. Ron DeSantis] didn’t want her in Florida. They just don’t even come here. So I, I think we’re doing really well,” he added.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Sunday said that while FEMA has enough resources to address the “immediate” needs of victims of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, hurricane season isn’t over and called on Congress to fund the agency’s disaster relief fund for future storms.

Mayorkas addressed recent claims about FEMA’s resources during an appearance on CBS’ “Face the Nation” as seven weeks of hurricane season remain.

“FEMA has the money to address the immediate needs of individuals impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton,” Mayorkas said. “But we need Congress to act swiftly to fund FEMA and specifically its disaster relief fund because hurricane season is not over.”

Criticism of the agency was fueled when Mayorkas said earlier this month that FEMA does “not have the funds to make it through the season,” although he said it did have enough for “immediate needs.” The administration has pushed for Congress to return and pass a spending bill to provide additional funding for the hurricane season.

“We have to ensure that individuals can recover from these extreme disasters, such as rebuilding their homes, repairing damage and the like,” Mayorkas said Sunday. “And so we need Congress to act swiftly to fund what should be a nonpartisan, apolitical phenomenon, and that is providing relief to all individuals with respect to the impacts of these extreme weather events.”

Mayorkas also addressed criticism about the agency’s response in the aftermath of the storms.

“FEMA has not been slow at all,” he said. “It already has distributed more than $470 million in relief to individuals impacted by Hurricane Helene. I take great pride, and this nation should take great pride in the extraordinary work of our FEMA personnel and all first responders.”

Authorities in North Carolina on Sunday confirmed at least 93 storm-related fatalities from Hurricane Helene but still could not account for the number of those who remain missing or unaccounted for. Additional deaths across Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee brought the toll to more than 220.

Hurricane Milton made landfall in Florida as a Category 3 storm on Wednesday evening. At least 10 people were killed and hundreds of thousands of residents remain without power.

The Black Men for Trump advisory board took aim at former President Barack Obama for his appeal to Black men to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris.

“President Obama’s recent call for Black men to support Kamala Harris based solely on her skin color, rather than her policies, is deeply insulting,” the group said in a joint statement. “Black Americans are not a monolith, and we don’t owe our votes to any candidate just because they ‘look like us.’ It’s demeaning to suggest that we can’t evaluate a candidate’s track record – especially when Kamala Harris has done more harm than good to Black communities.”

The statement comes after Obama made a surprise stop in Pennsylvania last week and specifically called out Black men, arguing that they should have the same enthusiasm for Harris’ campaign that they did for his in 2008 and 2012.

Obama said the lack of enthusiasm for Harris “seems to be more pronounced with the brothers,” who he said may not be getting behind the idea of a female president.

“And you are thinking about sitting out?” he said. “Part of it makes me think – and I’m speaking to men directly – part of it makes me think that, well, you just aren’t feeling the idea of having a woman as president, and you’re coming up with other alternatives and other reasons for that.”

In the statement, the Black Men for Trump advisory board accused the former president of “reducing us to race-based voting blocs,” which “perpetuates the worst kind of identity politics.”

“For decades, the Democrat Party has promoted failed policies that disrupted generational wealth, undermined Black culture, and contributed to the breakdown of the Black household,” the group said. “These policies, instead of uplifting Black families, have held them back by promoting family instability, poor schooling, and lack of economic opportunity.”

Signing on to the letter were conservative activists Bruce LeVell and CJ Pearson, former Oklahoma State Rep. TW Shannon, former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, political adviser Ja’Ron Smith, Black Conservative Federation founder Diante Johnson, and Republican Reps. Byron Donalds of Florida and Wesley Hunt of Texas.

The group closed by encouraging support for former President Trump, arguing that he delivered “real results for Black America.”

“He restored the American Dream by creating jobs, lowering Black unemployment, launching Opportunity Zones, and securing permanent funding for HBCUs. Under Trump, Black families had a shot at building wealth, breaking generational cycles, and thriving,” the group said.

Obama’s office did not immediately respond to a Fox News Digital request for comment.

WISCONSIN — Voters who spoke with Fox News Digital in the battleground state of Wisconsin were not particularly fond of Vice President Harris’ running mate, Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minn., despite his proximity or Midwestern characteristics. 

“Who’s Tim Walz?” asked Waukesha County, Wisconsin resident Diana Altwies, who said she plans to vote for former President Donald Trump after supporting him in 2016 and 2020. 

Fox News Digital interviewed voters in Milwaukee, Kenosha and Waukesha counties, asking whether Walz’s status as a Midwesterner, hailing from neighboring state Minnesota, was relatable to them.

“I mean, if you like people that are completely stupid, he’s great,” said Brian Morawski of Milwaukee County.

According to Altwies, she had heard his last name before, but didn’t actually know who Harris’ running mate was. 

“I’ve never seen him on TV or anything,” she said.

Harris and Walz have notably done far fewer interviews than Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio.

Kathy Przekwas of Kenosha County said she didn’t like Harris’ running mate “at all.” 

“I see right through him,” she said. 

She explained that Walz comes off as “fast-talking” and “throws in, like, a bunch of things that aren’t true but talks real fast.” 

“I don’t like any of the things he did in Minnesota, you know, because I’m up on all of that and how he handled the pandemic.”

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Walz instituted a Hotline for reporting people who weren’t abiding by the social distancing guidelines he put in place. “We’re seeing crowds that are a little too big, especially around the lakes,” he reportedly said in early 2020. 

“It is being used, and we simply want to let people be able to call and let folks know,” he said. “It’s for their own good. If we see people that may not be as informed on this, it’s an educational piece,” Walz reportedly said in defense of the Hotline during the same time period.

Walz’s stay-at-home executive order carried potential penalties of up to a $1,000 fine or 90 days of jail time, according to the Minnesota Reformer. 

Przekwas explained that Midwesterners are “natural and down to earth,” but she doesn’t think this description fits Walz. 

“I think he tries to portray that, but I don’t think he really is.”

While Fox News Digital only found voters who did not like Walz, Wisconsin Democratic Party Chairman Ben Wikler claimed, “So many people have said to me, ‘He’s like my dad.'”

“Tim Walz has this extraordinary quality, for Wisconsin voters specifically,” he said. 

“He’s such a familiar type of person.”

According to the chairman, what Wisconsinites look for are good neighbors. “That stuff matters a lot,” he explained. 

“And you can sort of see in Tim Walz in the way he carries himself, the stories that he tells, that he is that kind of good neighbor that everyone aspires to be and wants to live next to.”

Asked about Walz, Wisconsin Republican Party Executive Director Andrew Iverson said, “Actually, I hear a lot of people who are really excited about JD Vance in Wisconsin.”

Sen. Vance, Trump’s running mate, is also from the Midwest, having grown up in Ohio. 

“A lot of folks are excited about him because he has such a great story to tell,” he said of the “Hillbilly Elegy” author. 

As for Walz, Iverson claimed voters are aware of “his failed record.”

“They know a lot of Minnesotans actually crossed the border and moved to Wisconsin because of his failed policies as governor,” he added. 

According to him, “people are more excited about JD Vance than Tim Walz” in Wisconsin.

A conservative watchdog filed suit this week against the Department of Homeland Security, seeking to compel the agency to provide any communications between the executive office of Vice President Kamala Harris and U.S. Customs and Border Protection regarding the southwest border and illegal immigration.

In September, the Oversight Project – a good-government group under the umbrella of the conservative Heritage Foundation – filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for the communications. But the group deemed that DHS’ response failed to comply with federal law, and consequently they filed suit in federal court.

HOUSE COMMITTEE RAMPS UP PRESSURE TO OBTAIN IMPORTANT DOCS ON HARRIS’ ROLE IN BORDER CRISIS

The suit calls for DHS to be compelled to release its communications with Harris by Oct. 22.

“Here, we are seeking communications between CBP and Vice President Harris’ office. She was appointed ‘border czar’, and the administration wants to say it was to look at root causes of migration from the Northern Triangle — You would assume, given the importance of that portfolio, and the fact that 10 million illegal aliens have entered the country under her watch, that there would be a lot of communications between CBP and her office.”

Brosnan said the Oct. 22 timeframe aligns with public interest to understand a major party candidate’s record on a top issue in time for them to cast their ballot:

“We are seeking our rights through FOIA to get those records. And, since immigration is such an important issue in the election, the use and the importance of the salience of the documents would be greatly diminished in terms of educating the public if we were to get them after the election.”

PENNSYLVANIA VOTERS ALARMED BY HEATED POLITICAL RHETORIC

That, he said, is the reason for the motion for preliminary injunction, which if approved, would force the government to accelerate document releases.

According to the filing, obtained by Fox News Digital, CBP acknowledged receipt of the FOIA request on Sept. 18 – citing an email correspondence between CBP and Brosnan’s colleague Mike Howell. 

CBP’s FOIA office later allegedly administratively closed the request without informing the plaintiffs, claiming there were “no documents sent” in the FOIA portal. 

The Oversight Project followed up with CBP demanding the request be reopened, and was informed by the agency their request was insufficient and lacked specifics on which particular CBP employees’ emails they were to sift through, as well as the email domains related to Harris’ executive office to be included in the search.

In the filing, Brosnan’s team pointed out “inconsistencies” between CBP’s response to the FOIA and a similarly-structured request from the House Oversight Committee.

In September, Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., wrote to the acting head of CBP, Troy Miller, repeating a request for documents relating to Harris’ handling of the border crisis:

“It is important the committee and the American people understand Vice President Harris’ role as the border czar in the ongoing border crisis,” Comer said in the letter obtained by Fox News Digital.

In an interview last week, Brosnan said the public must be aware of what Harris’ team was communicating with CBP in terms of border security if she was truly given a role to oversee such operations.

He also cited what he called the media’s recent attempts to “rewrite” Harris’ record on the border as the reason the communications should come to light and paint the true picture – positive or negative.

“The public must be informed as to what her office was working on and communicating with CBP in real time during the height of the crisis.”

Fox News Digital reached out to Comer’s and Harris’ offices for comment but did not receive a response by press time.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer apologized for a social media video in which she wore a Harris-Walz campaign hat and fed Doritos to a kneeling podcast host in what some critics said made a mockery of a sacred Christian rite.

The Democrat was seen in the clip taking a Doritos chip out of a bag and placing it into the mouth of a kneeling liberal podcaster Liz Plank, before the video panned to the governor wearing a camouflage Harris-Walz hat. While Whitmer said the video was intended to spotlight the 2022 CHIPS and Science Act that allocated nearly $53 billion towards efforts to bring semiconductor supply chains back to the U.S., religious leaders saw it as a spoof of the sacrament of Holy Communion.

The video was made as part of a viral TikTok trend where one person feeds another person, who is acting sexually, with the song “Dilemma” by Nelly and Kelly Rowland playing in the background before the first person stares uncomfortably into the camera.

Former Trump advisor Tim Murtaugh, for example, posted, “Let’s be clear what’s happening in this video. Gov. Do they want ZERO Catholic votes for Harris?”

Following the backlash, Whitmer apologized for the video and emphasized that the video was not meant to mock people of faith.

“Over 25 years in public service, I would never do something to denigrate someone’s faith,” the governor said in a statement to Fox 2. “I’ve used my platform to stand up for people’s right to hold and practice their personal religious beliefs.”

“My team has spoken to the Michigan Catholic Conference,” she continued. “What was supposed to be a video about the importance of the CHIPS Act to Michigan jobs, has been construed as something it was never intended to be, and I apologize for that.”

“God bless you. God bless America. I’m here today to tell you that it’s time to pick a side,” Quaid said on stage. “Are we going to be a nation that stands for the Constitution? Or for TikTok? Are we going to be a nation of law and order? Or wide open borders? Which is it? Because it’s time to pick a side.” 

Speaking in the desert city east of Los Angeles known for its namesake annual music festival, Quaid said he played President Ronald Reagan, his “favorite president of the 20th century,” in the 2024 biopic. The actor drew parallels between the political landscape when Reagan was first elected and the present.

“It’s amazing how the issues of the 1980 election are very similar to what they are today,” he said, recalling the record high inflation back then, as well as the Iran hostages.

“We were a nation in decline. That’s what they told us. Ronald Reagan came along and said, no, we’re not a nation in decline. We’re going there. And we followed him,” Quaid said, pointing upwards. “The same with Trump, with President Trump. My favorite president of the 21st century.” 

The actor said that when he voted for Reagan decades ago, he went home to his roommate in Los Angeles at the time, who asked him who he voted for and told Quaid, “You are kicked out of the hippies.” 

“I’m gonna ask you a question that Reagan asked America back then, and I think it’s the question that got him elected. Are you better off than you were four years ago?” Quaid said. 

“Four years ago, under President Trump, we had energy,” he said. “We were an energy independent nation. We had cheap gas. We were actually exporting oil to our allies and our friends. Today, Putin is making money hand over fist, selling oil that he uses to pay for his Soviet-style comeback war that he has with Ukraine, and while we’re shutting down our pipelines over here and capping our wells, and begging Saudi Arabia and Venezuela to ‘pretty please, will you please sell us some oil? We’re kind of short right now.'”

When Trump left office, Quaid said, inflation was low and there was “peace in the Middle East,” crediting Trump as having been “right on the verge of accomplishing the Abraham Accords,” making peace between Israel and Arab nations. The actor also said Trump was negotiating a withdrawal from Afghanistan with “honor and order,” recalling how the former Republican president said he threatened a Taliban leader with a satellite image of his house. 

“Iran was bankrupt,” Quaid continued. “They weren’t able to give weapons to Hamas and Hezbollah. And look at where we are today. We basically funded that war. Four years ago, we had a secure border. We were on our way to even doing more and having a wall. That’s what a nation is. It has a wall.… But I guess it’s like voter I.D. you don’t need it in this country for some reason.” 

The actor concluded with a personal story about his housekeeper, Josie, who he said was in the United States illegally for more than a decade and used her sister’s identification. When Trump was elected in 2016, Quaid said the housekeeper from Mexico “was in fear that she was going to be sent back to her country.” 

“I told her, I said, ‘Josie, no, you’re not. That’s not what he’s talking about. He wants people to come here the right way, I’m going to become your sponsor,'” he said. “And so we started it. Right now she has her green card today, and she so wants to get her citizenship before so she can vote for Donald Trump.” 

“So like I said, people, it’s time to pick a side. Who are you going to pick? God bless you,” Quaid added.
